My experiences this week with Habitat have been very unique. I decided to come on this trip because I believe that community service and engagement is something that everyone needs to experience in their lifetime. Learning to work for others and with others impacts more than just me. During this trip specifically, I learned a lot about working with people in this community and the importance of the work itself. This experience has been full of problem-solving and hands-on work, but it also taught me about compassion and humanity. I hope that the work I've done here benefits Abingdon as a whole- Jessica and her kids, Walt, Scott, the neighborhood the home is in, etc. It's always my goal to make an impact on the people I meet.
